Durability Analysis Using Fracture Mechanics For Avionics Integrity

Avionic assemblies are complex hybrid structures formed out of many dissimilar materials that have been joined together to accomplish the desired electronic function. The structural integrity of these complex microscale structures is critical to the reliability of the electronic system. This paper discusses the principal results of a research program to investigate the application of fracture mechanics techniques for life prediction to these small structures.
